Wind Turbine Flooding System - DLP

Viaan Enterprise Direct Low Pressure (DLP) System

Viaan Enterprise Direct Low Pressure (DLP) Pre-Engineered fire suppression system offers dependable protection for critical assets such as wind turbines.

System Components and Operation:

  • Thermo Sensitive Tube: UL listed and crucial for detecting any rise in temperature or fire, this tube acts as the system's primary responder.
  • Fire Detection Tubing (FDT): Installed throughout the alternator zone of the wind turbine, this tubing ensures comprehensive fire detection and suppression coverage.

Operation:

  • Fire Detection: Upon detecting a fire, the point on the pressurized FDT nearest to the heat source will burst. This allows the fire suppression agent to flow from the cylinder through the tubing and out of the rupture hole, which acts as a nozzle.
  • Suppression: The agent is discharged directly at the source of the fire, providing a long discharge in the immediate vicinity to suppress the fire where it starts.

System's Work:

  • Direct System: Utilizes Heat Sensing Tube for both fire sensing and suppression.
  • Activation: The nearest surface of the Heat Sensing Tube bursts due to heating, forming an effective discharge nozzle. This drop in pressure within the tube causes the entire content of the cylinder to discharge.

Advantages:

  • International Compliance: All components meet international standards, ensuring reliability and safety.
  • Comprehensive Coverage: Detection tubing provides thorough coverage in the alternator zone, enhancing early fire detection and response.
  • Effective Suppression: The system delivers agent directly at the fire source, ensuring prompt and efficient suppression.

Application:

Ideal for wind turbines, the DLP system provides robust fire protection, safeguarding critical components and ensuring operational safety.

Advantages

Very Fast, reliable fire detection with help of Clean agents
Safe for humans, equipment and the environment no cleanup required
No interference with installation or maintenance of equipment
Electrically non-conductive Fire Detection Tubing follows cable routes to suppress directly at source of fire
It can be integrated with fire control systems
No power source required
Cost effective

Wind Turbine Flooding System - ILP

Viaan Enterprise Indirect Low Pressure (ILP) System

Viaan Enterprise recommends Indirect Low Pressure Systems for wind turbines, offering reliable protection with advanced fire suppression technology.

System Components and Operation:

  • Thermo Sensitive Tube: UL listed, it acts as the primary fire and temperature rise detector, ensuring reliable system response.
  • Detection Tubing: Red detection tubing is routed throughout the alternator, enhancing reaction time and minimizing potential damage.

Operation:

  • Fire Detection: The Heat Sensing Tube detects fire or temperature rise and triggers the valve.
  • Suppression: A high volume of clean agent gas is discharged through large nozzles to quickly suppress the fire at its initial stage.

System's Work:

  • Indirect System: Utilizes Heat Sensing Tube for fire sensing only.
  • Activation: The nearest surface of the Heat Sensing Tube bursts due to heating, actuating the valve. The agent then discharges through strategically placed nozzles within the protected enclosure.

Advantages:

  • International Compliance: All components adhere to international standards for reliability and effectiveness.
  • Improved Reaction Time: The red detection tubing ensures quick response and minimizes damage.
  • Effective Fire Suppression: Large nozzles deliver a high volume of clean agent gas for prompt suppression.

Application:

Designed for wind turbines, the ILP system provides robust fire protection, ensuring the safety of critical components and reducing the risk of fire-related damage.
